Dietrich Bonhoeffer, on November 19, 1932, gave his “Thy Kingdom Come” address. This was at the beginning of the church struggle against Hitler and Nazism. In that address, Bonhoeffer asked,
The question is a very simple one:
Just how do you conceive your kingdom of God on earth?
We can only imagine the struggle the church would soon have.
